We built CostVela for financial consultants who deal with sensitive IP. Our architecture reflects that: we secure the machine, but you hold the keys.
No PII Tracking
We do not track personally identifiable information of your end-users. Their interactions are anonymous by default.
Server-Side Logic
Your formulas never leave our secure server. The browser only receives the *results*, preventing IP theft via "View Source".
Local Execution
Scenario inputs are stored in the user's local browser session. We don't see them unless they explicitly click "Share".
Data Collection Policy
When you use CostVela's authoring tools, we store the *structure* of your model (the "DSL" or Domain Specific Language). This is necessary to render the dashboard. We treat this DSL as your proprietary Intellectual Property.
What We Store
- Model Structure: The variable names, relationships, and layout configurations needed to build the UI.
- Account Info: Your email and authentication details (managed via secure Auth providers).
What We DO NOT Store
- Client Inputs: When your client moves a slider, that value lives in their browser's temporary memory state. It is not written to our database unless a "Save Scenario" action is triggered.
- End-User PII: We do not require your clients to login to view public models.
Infrastructure
CostVela runs on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with strict access controls. Traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Databases are encrypted at rest.
